About Us
Omnium is Latin and the literal translation is “of all” and, as implied, Omnium Forensics is a service available to all. Omnium Forensics draws on over 30 years of forensic casework experience gained by Ted Silenieks in the examination, analysis and recovery of biological and physical evidence.
Omnium Forensics focuses on:
- Providing specialised training for forensic practitioners and crime scene investigators that underpins the skills required for the documentation, analysis and interpretation of bloodstains and other body fluid staining found on clothing, other textiles and at crime scenes.
- Providing unbiased, scientifically based opinion evidence, in particular focusing on activity evidence. DNA analysis can tell us who was involved (source evidence), but activity evidence can tell us what happened.
The “how” is often more important than the “who“.
